08-19-2009 - BRIDGE 9 RECORDS KICKS SOME SERIOUS ASS!!!!

Legendary Agnostic Front Records Are Being Re-Released On Bridge Nine!

One of the greatest genre-defining hardcore bands of all time,AGNOSTIC FRONT , has changed the face of music throughout their 25 year long career. The two records that started it all, United Blood and Victim in Pain, are legendary NYHC releases and some of the most sought after pieces of vinyl for record collectors. Finally, these two releases are coming back to life via BRIDGE NINE RECORDS. On November 17th, 2009, Bridge Nine will release a CD version with both albums combined and additionally, will re-release United Blood on 7” and Victim in Pain on 12” LP.

Originally released in 1983, United Blood was Agnostic Front’s first release and was followed shortly thereafter by Victim In Pain in 1984. These albums were a blast of pure New York hardcore that confirmed AF’s status as leaders of the NYHC movement alongside precursors the Cro-Mags and Murphy’s Law. 25 years later, both releases will be made available once again on all formats. Special packaging, vinyl pressings, and more information to come soon.

08-06-2009 - THE TROPIC ROT, EARTHSBLOOD, CONSTELLATIONS...and BOOBIES?!

Helloooo again!!!??? Two updates in a week? What's with that shite!? Well truth of the matter is I am out of work with an injury. Fucked up my back pretty good and scored myself 3 herniated discs. Apparently I wasn't satisfied with just one like a normal person. Anyways...

Three new album reviews up in the RIOT ACT. POISON THE WELL gets back to their roots with THE TROPIC ROT. AUGUST BURNS RED shoots for the stars with CONSTELLATIONS , and I finally discover GOD FORBID http://godforbid1.com/ on their newest release, EARTHSBLOOD.

The EXXXOTICA EXPO will be returning to the tri-state area September 25-27. Last year's maiden voyage was a success and this year the event coordinators are promising one hell of a ride. You can bet that WDS will be there to give you guys a glimpse of some T&A.

08-03-2009 - SUMMERTIME BLUES? MMA AND METAL RULES!

Hello, Hello, Hello! Summer is winding down a little too fast for my taste wouldn't you agree? I haven't even had one lazy summer day by the pool drinkin beers and getting skin cancer. One thing is for sure...summer of 2009 saw some good music released and it doesn't look like the goods will slow down anytime soon. Syndicate friends THY WILL BE DONE just released their sophomore effort entitled IN ANCIENT DAYS . I just received my copy, but from what I've heard so far I expect more of the same brutal sound from these guys.

WD SYNDICATE made some new friends! Go check out the LINKS section to check out the latest sites we're affiliated with, or just think they flat out rock. PANTI CHRIST is a cool company specializing in, yep, you guessed it, panties! And who the hell doesn't like panties!? TRU PUNK will keep you guys up to date on the punk rock scene. The layout is pretty damm rad. And a great site to keep you occupied in your stuffy little cubicle is OVERHEARD IN NEW YORK. Guaranteed to make you piss yourself at least once.

In MMA news, rumors became reality as THE HUNTINGTON BEACH BAD BOY, TITO ORTIZ inked a contract with the UFC and is on schedule to fight at the end of this year or early next. The BLODDY ELBOW reports that Ortiz is tentatively schedlued to face Mark Coleman at UFC 105. BLODDY ELBOW also reports that Russian badboy, Fedor Emelianenko has signed with http://www.strikeforce.com/index2.html , spurning UFC head-honcho, Dana White. This upcoming weekend is gonna be packed with action as UFC 101 takes place on August 8th and on August 9, the WEC throws two rabid lightweights into the octogon with TORRES Vs. BOWLES. The Syndicate throws a trio of albums into the RIOT ACT for review. EARTH CRISIS is resurrected with To The Death, BURN HALO brings back the days of blow, spandex and rock ballads, and NARROWS is an experiment just waiting to explode! If you haven't checked it out, we're using a 1-5 scale nowadays. No, not stars or devil horns but whatever I feel like using that particular moment. 07-17-2009 - EYE OF THE TIGER!!! WE AIN'T DEAD YET!! UFC 100! MAYLENE, BYD, KILLSWITCH AND MORE!!!

I'm sure you're all getting tired of hearing this but I apologize about the lack of updates recently. Bottom line is its just damn tough running this operation! That's why I enlisted some help. You guys remember waaaay back when WDS first started out? To kick off the festivities we had our first (and only) model search. The winner was New Jersey's own,AMANDA . Well she decided to throw her hat in the ring and start dishing out some album reviews. Who knows, maybe we'll get our act together and launch another shoot with her soon. Also contributing in the review section is longtime Syndicate pal, Tony aka The Guy In The Corner and Chris from ROBOTS WILL KILL . Look for them to give you candid reviews of shows across the tri-state area as well as album reviews.

A lot of music has been pumping out lately so be sure to check the review section in the RIOT ACT. MAYLENE & THE SONS OF DISASTER, BURY YOUR DEAD, KILLSWITCH ENGAGE and GALLOWS all have new releases we gave a listen to.

MMA fans rejoice! Gdevil felt the need to give you his take on UFC 100. I love the UFC man. It makes every guy feel like he can actually live out a role in Fight Club. The main event of Brock Lesnar vs. Frank Mir left me thinking...”Wow, Lesnar really DOES have a penis tattooed on his chest!”.
