11-12-2008 - A NEW DAWN FOR WD SYNDICATE

The hard work, sweat, and cursing at each other has finally paid off. WD SYNDICATE has unofficially officially relaunched! And I for one can not be more thrilled, excited and happy about it. Three years ago when I started this website (then known as White Devil Syndicate) I had a few t-shirt design ideas and a vision of uniting musical genres and the people who follow them through the WD. The site was a bit all over the place and lacked direction for quite some time, but all the while that same goal was its constant...and we never waivered from that. Today, I, and the good friends who helped me put this site together are more focused and have a clearer idea of how to obtain that original vision. When you go on the site now, you'll see a few changes, all for the better: 1. For one, the name has changed. We are now WD SYNDICATE. White Devil is no more. What does WD stand for? Whatever you want it to. World Disorder, Within Destruction, Wild Dandelions... Truth be known I think I'm the only one that really knows what it stands for and I'm going to keep it that way for now. 2. We're no longer "just a clothing company". Yes your going to get more t-shirts, sweatshirts and other goodies coming your way. But there will be something behind them now. You'll be wearing the attitude that is WD SYNDICATE. When someone sees that logo they'll remember that interview with In This Moment. They'll remember how some writer totally trashed the new Metallica album. They'll remember how last month there was some smoking hot chick featured rocking the same sweatshirt... You get the point. 3. We're throwing our hat into the production ring. Yes, its always been my dream to throw shows. Hardcore, punk, metal. Maybe all three at once. Who knows, who cares. So long as its a raging good time and I can guarantee we can pull that off. All the years me and my cronies have in these scenes we better be able to throw a decent show. Its time to start giving back to the scenes that gave us so much. Look for the first Syndicate sponsored event soon!!! I want to thank the people who made this relaunch possible. First, there's my web guy and chief hooligan Kev/St. Psynner. I can't tell you people how talented this guy is. Art, writing, programming. He can do it all. He has the great gift of listening to my ideas and actually formulating them into something functional. My longtime friend and brother, Chris of Robots Will Kill (plug... www.robotswillkill.com) When it comes to street and sticker art I don't think many would argue he's the strong, silent type. Never one to be in the spotlight but hell I think he should be. He's been there the first time I was baptized into the world of hardcore/punk and is still there right next to me throwing windmills during Sick of it All. Whenever things seemed insurmountable during this relaunch he was always the one who kicked me in the ass to get me and Kev back to work. My boy Vinny who actually took my idea for this site and came up with the WD logo. Vinny will be by my side throwing shows and punking out Bad Brains when they pull some bullshit, rock star nonsense for years. And of course WD SYNDICATE is nothing without the fans and haters who read my bullshit on a daily basis. As cliche as it sounds, we're nothing without you. 04-22-2008 - MORE ALBUM REVIEWS, THE SALE IS STILL ON AND WHO WANTS TO GET CHOKED OUT???

Soon. Very soon you will actually get to see these changes we’re all hyping up here at WDS. It’s a slow go, but we’re actually trying to do it right this time so bear with us. In the meantime I hope you are enjoying the updates to the RIOT ACT which have been a bit more frequent than in the past you’ll notice. It’s the end of April. Some of us are getting their tax returns and spending them responsibly. Putting it away into savings, investing a good some into a 401k, etc… Others, will blow it all on cheap women, fast cars, tattoos and maybe even blow some in the MERCH section. Hell, we’re running a 50% sale till the end of May!!! This year I’m trying to be responsible but I think Las Vegas needs me to visit very soon. Anyway, I hope everyone is enjoying the Spring weather and getting ready for the summer. Not much in this minor update. Four albums are under the spotlight in the RIOT ACT . Staten Island local fan-favorites, Avon Junkies have their first full length out, The Merchants Tale. Disfear gets it right with Live the Storm and both The Sword and Bloodsimple put out some serious sophomoric efforts. Go check it out! 03-31-2008 - STATE OF THE DISUNION AT WDS (AND ALBUM REVIEWS OF PARKWAY DRIVE, TOO PURE TO DIE, MICHALE GRAVES, BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE, AND BURY YOUR DEAD)

Hello underworld! There’s a lot of questions out there surrounding the Syndicate so I’ll take this time to address some of them. One, no we have not gone under, been bought out, or sold any rights to anyone. Two, over the next few months there will be some changes occurring that will be visible on the website. Three, yes, we are slowly phasing out the WHITE DEVIL name for marketing reasons. No one seems to understand the tongue in cheekness of it. So look for the WD logo to fully represent the Syndicate and all its evilness. What else do you, as a fan of WDS have to look forward to? More album reviews. More rants and blogs about anything and everything. More interviews with artists, musicians and anyone else that might tickle your fancy. More new, in your face, t-shirt and clothing designs. And of course…more chicks rockin the new swag. Put that in your spank bank! Some shout outs and off beat news for ya: Anyone interested in street art and graph? I thought so.
